dsc09639What have you enjoyed about the RecruitLook Junior Golf Tour?

One thing that I have enjoyed so far about the Recruitlook Junior Golf tour is how exposed I am to college coaches. If it wasn’t for Tommy Canale and the RecruitLook tour, I wouldn’t have meet some of these amazing coaches. I have also enjoyed how helpful everyone is that works for RecruitLook. It makes playing in the golf tournaments a lot of fun!

What has been your favorite moment on the RecruitLook Junior Golf Tour?

My favorite moment so far in the Recruitlook Junior Golf tour has been taking my first official recruiting college visit. When I took my first visit I was very nervous but excited at the same time. It is very exciting to be able to visit a school that could potentially be where you will live for the next four years or even longer than that. It was a great experience being able to speak with future coaches and teammates.

What was your favorite course on the RecruitLook Junior Golf Tour?

One of my favorite courses that we played on the Recruitlook Junior Golf tour was Las Vegas Muni. I enjoyed playing this course because it doesn’t have as many hills as some courses do in Las Vegas. This course is also a little shorter which makes it easier to attack the greens. It’s fun to hit around obstacles like trees and water.

What has surprised you about the college recruiting process?

One thing that has surprised me and continues to surprise me about the college recruiting process is that there are so many different colleges. I didn’t know how many options I was going to have when I signed up with Tommy because I knew that I didn’t want to go to a Division 1 school. Since I had already ruled out Division 1 I didn’t think I had much left but division 2 and 3, but I was wrong. There are so many opportunities to go to a school that you want to go to. There are many different divisions and also many different choices.

What have you enjoyed about the college recruiting process?

A few things that I have enjoyed about the college recruiting process is that everyone is willing to answer my questions. When I first started this process I had no idea what to do and how to start. Starting with RecruitLook made everything so much easier and enjoyable. When I started calling coaches I would have so many questions and every coach answered all of them and helped me understand how college works. Every coach and admissions counselor gave me a better idea on what to expect in college.

Who is your favorite professional golfer?

It is very hard to just have one favorite golfer on the PGA because everyone is so talented. A few of my favorites are Bubba Watson, Dustin Johnson, Jordan Spieth, and Rickie Fowler. These players are very good role models by showing kindness and being dedicated golfers.

What do you enjoy doing besides playing golf?

One thing that I like to do in my free time is work with little kids. A couple years ago I got my first job working with the toddlers at the nursery in my church. The kids that I work with are from three months to three years old. I love working with little kids because I think they are able to teach us just as much as we can teach them. They teach me skills like patience, kindness and sharing. Most of the things that I learn from them are things that I can take with me to the golf course. One thing that they helped me with and that I always bring to the course is a good attitude, because no matter how frustrated you get with golf or toddlers you still need to have patience and remain calm thorough the day or round.
