Recap of the Boulder City Junior Golf Championship

The RecruitLook Junior Golf Tour completed stop #7 at Boulder City Golf Club. Once again the event was successful — as all around people were smiling and having a great time.

On the course, in the Girls 9-10, Yana Wilson (81) won once again — this time holding off Brynn Kort (84). Wilson held a two shot advantage at the turn and both girls carded 39 on the back. Capturing third was Shenmei Wu with 91.

Kyle Guloy won the Boys 9-10 by two shots over Shenlone Wu. Shenjone Wu finished in 3rd — 6 back of Guloy.  Guloy was two up after nine holes, and held off Shenlone on the back nine for the victory.

Dylan Girouard showed a dramatic improvement on Day 2 with an 86, which was 11 shots better than day 1 to win the Boys 11-12 division.

Girls 13-14 was won by Carolyn Lemon who also had a great day 2 shooting 97-82 to win by 10 over Bella Gopwani. Lemon held a 3 shot lead after day 1 and took command of the tournament on hole 12 after beating Gopwani by 3 shots on the hole.

Boys 13-14 title was taken by JJ Kulesza by 2 shots. Kulesza posted 85-86 to hold off a huge second day charge by William Moser who posted the low round of the day in the this age group with an 80. Moser started the day 8 shots off the lead, and took home 2nd place over Tyler Pham. Pham finished 3rd in a scorecard playoff over first round leader Michael Morgan Spriggs.

Jade Magana won the Girls 15-18 division posting rounds of 81-84 to win her first tournament. Kyler Atkinson posted the low round of the tournament (74) on day 2 to win his second RecruitLook Junior Golf Event in the Boys 15-18 division. Atkinson carded rounds of 76-74 to win by 7 over Morgan Cooper who posted second lowest round of the event (77). Blake Woodie finished third in the field.
